Print To Email Printer Driver
Have you tried using the Share feature for Win8? From the Charms bar select Share. Choose Email and the document will be attached to an email message, just like the File> Share option from the Office 2013 suite. This is for the Modern UI apps.
If you Share via the Charms bar from the desktop you will be attaching a screen shot of the desktop, not the document, image, etc. from the application you are running. The application developer would have to implement the share feature within the x86 application (e.g. Office 2013)
For desktop applications without the Share function: if you have the ability to print-to-PDF you can print (save) the pdf file which will launch your default PDF viewer. You can then Share or Send To from within the PDF application. An extra step but it does save you from browsing for the document to add it as an email attachment.
I've used print-to-mail drivers in the past but I don't know if there are any that have been certified for Win8. In the end these were simply file converters that would create a PDF or jpeg image and attach it to an email message, no real advantage over the above options.
Windows os architecture.
Hope this helps
